Zambians with Permanent Residence Permits harassed at points of entry

We have noted many complaints from Zambians living in South Africa who have acquired permanent residence with exemption certificates that are being harassed at points of entry in South Africa.

This problem has been officially communicated to the Government of Zambia through the Office of the Zambia High Commissioner to South Africa, His Excellence Mr Emmanuel Mwamba. Bilateral talks have already commenced and the Zambia High Commissioner will have a meeting with the South African Home Affairs Minister Professor Hlengiwe Buhle Mkhize this week with blessings from the President of Zambia, His Excellence Mr Edgar Chagwa lungu.

All Zambians who have acquired Permanent residency with exemption certificates; please forward these documents to email so that we can consolidate a list of people affected with proof for Mr Mwamba to deliberate all matters on our behalf.

This matter is very urgent.

Thank you

ZASA President
