As xenophobia rears its ugly head again in South Africa with foreign nationals being attacked and their properties looted in South Johannesburg and West Pretoria over the last couple of weeks, one can see why foreign nationals are tired of the targeting and deciding to fight back. Social media and WhatsApp groups have been flooded with messages of foreign nationals refusing to sit back and fall victim to more attacks in the wake of a looming protest march against foreigners planned to take place tomorrow (24th February 2017) in Pretoria.
This is one of the messages we picked up on a WhatsApp group – posted as received:
Exactly what we should avoid -posting of old videos. Nevertheless, this time our people back home are ready to shut down businesses of SA should any Afro phobic attacks erupt. Not only Zambia but Malawians, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, Angolans, Congolese, Nigerians, Ethiopians, Somalians, Tanzanians, Ghanaians, Sothos, Tswanas, Zwazis, Ivorian, Kenyans, Namibians, Ugandans, Burundians, Cameroonians, Liberians, Senegalese, Madagascans, etc. All these Countries will shutdown SA businesses and trading, including abandoning SA airline. It will be total blackout for sa if authorities don’t stop xenophobic/afro phobic attacks on African Immigrants to SA because South Africans think they can be a continent on its own or survive without the rest of Africa which is not true. Each African State depends on other African states. Let SA know that fact & stop acting like they birthed Africa instead of the other way around. Africa unitedly birthed SA. Without the rest of Africa, SA is nothing but without SA, Africa is still Africa. No one country in Africa is bigger than Africa but Africa is always bigger than any single African State. So SA must not think they shine Africa, but Africa shines SA. If they want, they can drop Africa from their name and sea how & what SA will sound like and be like. Enough of their nonsense. African Sun shines from heaven not from Xenophobic South African asses. We tired of their rubbish.
