Young Movers and Shakers

Young Movers and Shakers | Farai Sylvia Liwewe

Please start by reading the article in Issue 17 of ZASA Magazine (February 2017) to understand the context of this post, it is supplementary material. You can download the magazine for free here.

To give you an idea of the kind of issues Farai and her colleagues are tackling, here is a 6 minute documentary that talks about teenage pregnancies in Zambia.

The next video (4 minutes) highlights a cause taken up by Copper Rose Zambia, an NGO Farai worked with for some time… “In addressing issues surrounding vulnerability of young girls, I became a Copper Rose Volunteer, a youth-led organization concerned with matters that deal with menstrual hygiene.” ~ Farai Sylvia Liwewe.

Follow the Teen Motherhood and Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia pages on Facebook, do your bit to help. Remember that no matter how small your contribution, it could make a world of difference for the causes that these NGOs are supporting.

Here are the links to the Ladies Circle website and Facebook Page. Again, please read the article in the magazine to understand the context of this post.
