Water Restrictions | Midrand, Diepkloof, Eldorado and Klipspruit.

waterresistriction

From council: Johannesburg Water will be restricting water supply overnight to areas around Midrand, Diepkloof, Eldorado and Klipspruit.  This is prompted by a need to curb water usage on some of our reservoir sites that are experiencing high consumption.

The intention is to build up reservoir levels and prevent further water shortages that are caused by demand exceeding supply since the announcement of water restrictions by the Department of Water and Sanitation. Johannesburg is still under level 2 water restrictions despite the recent rainfall.  Water levels at the Integrated Vaal River system have not risen sufficiently to above satisfactory levels.

Technicians will be closing outlet valves of these reservoirs as listed on the attached plan between 20:00 – 04:00, resulting in no water supply at all during these times.

Midrand: Grand Central reservoir outlet will be closed tonight 23 Nov from 20:00-04:00.During these times will be no water in these areas
These will done from 23-25 Nov 2016 from 20:00-04:00 ,also from the 28 Nov – 02 Dec same times
