Home Affairs calls for nominations – Migrant Awards

The second annual Mkhaya Migrants Awards are here!

The annual Mkhaya Migrants Awards celebrate the benefit of migration by honouring individuals and companies who contribute to South Africa and Africa’s development.

The 2016 Mkhaya Migrants Awards are earmarked for 11 December 2016 leading up to the 18th of December 2016, which marks the annual International Migrants’ Day (18 December 2016). The CALL FOR NOMINATIONS opened on 31 October 2016 & submission of nominations close on 25 November 2016.

Below is an interview on Morning Live with Malusi Gigaba, the Minister of Home Affairs, and William Okpara, one of 2015’s winners, he is also a former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.

You can submit your nominations by visiting mkhayaawards.co.za – please make sure you alert the person you are nominating before submitting their details.

The public is encouraged to make a significant contribution towards creating a better society and building a united Africa by nominating a migrant who has made an impactful difference in their field of expertise in South Africa, in 1 of the 6 categories below:
